Development of Bali Province Consumer Price Index December 2024

In December 2024, year on year (y-on-y), Bali Province experienced inflation of 2.34 percent with a Consumer Price Index (base year 2022=100) of 107.87. The highest inflation was recorded in Denpasar City at 2.69 percent with a CPI of 108.16 and the lowest inflation was recorded in Singaraja at 1.93 percent with a CPI of 107.70.

Annual inflation (y-on-y) occurred due to the increase in the prices of observed commodities as indicated by the increase in the CPI in ten expenditure groups, namely: food, beverages and tobacco group increased by 3.87 percent; clothing and footwear group by 1.19 percent; housing, water, electricity and household fuel group by 0.41 percent; household equipment, equipment and routine maintenance group by 0.78 percent; health group by 0.81 percent; transportation group by 0.53 percent; recreation, sports, and culture group by 1.83 percent; education group by 2.99 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group by 4.18 percent; and personal care and other services group by 3.41 percent. Meanwhile, one group was recorded to have experienced a decrease in the index, namely the information, communication, and financial services group, which fell by 0.55 percent.

On a monthly basis (month to month / m-t-m), Bali Province was recorded to have experienced inflation of 0.31 percent. Meanwhile, on a year to date (y-to-d) basis, inflation was recorded at 2.34 percent.
