Abstract

In February 2025 on a year on year (y-on-y) basis, Bali Province experienced inflation of 1.21 percent with a Consumer Price Index (base year 2022=100) of 107.23. The highest inflation was recorded in Denpasar City at 1.70 percent with a CPI of 107.73 and the lowest inflation was recorded in Singaraja at 0.27 percent with a CPI of 106.26.
Annual inflation (y-on-y) occurred due to rising prices of observed commodities as indicated by the increase in CPI in nine expenditure groups, namely: food, beverages and tobacco group rose by 5.41 percent; clothing and footwear group by 1.43 percent; household supplies, equipment and routine maintenance group by 1.34 percent; health group by 2.18 percent; transportation group by 1.42 percent; recreation, sports and culture group by 1.88 percent; education group by 3.05 percent; food and beverage supply / restaurant group by 5.00 percent; and personal care and other services group by 3.43 percent. Meanwhile, two groups recorded a decrease in the index, namely the housing, water, electricity and household fuel group fell by 13.24 percent and the information, communication and financial services group by 0.38 percent.
On a monthly basis (month to month / m-t-m), Bali Province recorded deflation of 0.57 percent. While on a year to date (y-to-d) basis, deflation was recorded at 0.59 percent.
