Sakernas and EA SLS Personal Training August 2023

[Klungkung] - The National Labor Force Survey (Sakernas) is an important source of employment data in Indonesia. Sakernas results data has been widely used by various groups, both at home and abroad. The Sakernas data collection and the implementation of various censuses and other surveys at BPS so far have used the Census Block (BS) as the enumeration area. Therefore, BPS plans to switch to using the Enumeration Area SLS (EA SLS). The study to prepare for the transition was carried out simultaneously with the implementation of the August 2023 Sakernas. In order to prepare data quality for the two activities, BPS Klungkung Regency conducted training for field officers.

August 2023 Sakernas and EA SLS Batch I training in Nusa Penida District was held on 4 - 5 August 2023 and Batch II on 7 - 8 August 2023 at Wyndham Tamansari Jivva Lepang. On this occasion, Head of BPS Klungkung Regency Ir. Ni Putu Minarni S., M.M.A. also conveyed several important points related to future survey implementation. The importance of in-depth probing conducted by officers to explore employment phenomena in the field. In addition, it is hoped that all officers can carry out activities according to a predetermined time limit, and always maintain health.

The implementation of Sakernas and EA SLS begins on 9 - 31 August 2023 in all regions of Indonesia. The implementation of Sakernas in Klungkung Regency covers 52 BS while the EA SLS Study covers 13 SLS spread over 4 sub-districts. The stages of activity are applied the same to both activities, but are mutually independent. The results of the evaluation of the main indicators of employment and field operations resulting from the two activities will then be compared and evaluated. Furthermore, it is hoped that the results of this evaluation can become the basis for using the SLS enumeration area in the future
