Bekasi - The strains of the song "Like Corruptors" accompanied the opening ceremony of the 2019 Anti-Corruption Behavior Survey (SPAK) at Aston Bekasi Hotel, (26/2). The training was followed by the Head of the Social Security Statistics of the provincial BPS throughout Indonesia for two effective days.
As reported by Kompas, during the year 2018, the KPK succeeded in arresting 29 regional heads because of corruption. The report is an indication that corruption is still our common enemy. The Anti Corruption Behavior Index (IPAK) produced by BPS in 2018 even shows that it is lower than IPAK 2017, illustrating that the community is becoming more permissive.
"The role of BPS in producing this IPAK is to assist the state's duty to fight corruption. To see grand corruption BPS has an Integrity Assessment Survey (SPI), while for petty corruption use SPAK, "explained Margo Yuwono, Deputy of BPS's Social Statistics in his direction. SPAK 2019 itself is the seventh year survey conducted by BPS.
Prevention of corruption is a state priority set out in Presidential Regulation Number 54 of 2018 concerning the National Strategy for Preventing Corruption (National Strategy for Corruption). Margo further emphasized that SPAK is trying to measure anti-corruption knowledge and behavior in the community. "The zero tolerance culture must be in the community. We have to get used to the right, not justify what is usually done, "he continued.
On the occasion, also present were speakers from the KPK, Rommy Iman Sulaiman and the Coordinator of the Stranas PK Team, Herda Helmijaya who shared about the national strategy for preventing corruption in Indonesia, as well as mentioning the importance of IPAK as a corruption detector that the KPK R & D will process. They also introduced the 3L tagline: Look, Fight, Report.
